I have been sharing my designs, ideas, art and such in the hopes it will help help others design their own boats and get your blood flowing to want to create your own vessel. I am assuming that with modern technology you can download and print out what is posted here. I also feel that …

New design… Lithium 17.10

A while back I did a skiff design for Tom Gordon of Islamorada Boatworks for a new flats skiff to add to his other Bay Boat line of boats. I have gone over the results of this boat in my other blog. I really wanted to see my design built as drawn but I understand …

My late fathers dinghy design

My father tinkered with a couple of small dinghy designs in his latter years when living aboard his 27′ sloop the “Adios”. He needed what we all need in small sailboats a good hard bottom dinghy to get back and forth in. The is his last design and build by him. It folds and nests …

Hogfish life , a glimps from days gone past

Today I found some pictures of my young family and I onboard the 32′ Hogfish. These pictures are from 21-27 years ago. Both of our kids were born with a Midwife and moved aboard when 4 weeks old and crossed the Gulf Stream a week later to begin their sailing life. We lived aboard and …

20.8″ all round utility skiff

This hull is nice and fair for strip planking. It will plane out with low hp but can use up to 70 hp. It will be nice and as dry as you can get in a small skiff.
